Still fighting the same old crap, just a lot older doing it.
I'm struggling. Feel like I'm hanging on my my fingernails, barely. NewVisionhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17356754501467188071noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3576566711877316702.post-10971392724507962952013-12-31T00:00:00.000-06:002016-06-16T12:41:54.352-05:0010-17-2013 ThursdayThis year has been the roughest year we have had in a VERY VERY long time. The world seemed to fall apart for a lil while. I had a hysterectomy in May. My father-in-law went into the hospital for congestive heart failure in June and never really recovered. He passed away the 2nd of September. I had him as my 'Pops' longer than I had my own Dad. I can't believe how much I miss him. I couldn't have loved him any more than if he was my own.

At the same time it seemed like everything else was falling apart as well. Our vehicles (not just once, but over and over), our house got hit by lightening and took out our furnace and a few other things. My sister had a MAJOR surgery and got an infection, to the point of it being life threatening and ended up having 4 more surgeries because of it. All life threatening. For several weeks I had both my Pops and my sister in the hospital at the same time, both in serious condition (They were both in same town, different hospitals but both still 45 mins away from where we live)Everyday we drove there twice. Once to take my mother-in-law to the hospital then go back home to work, then go back that night after work to pick her up and see how he was doing. The last 4 weeks or so, one of us was with him 24/7 while we all continued to work our normal jobs. My daughter-in-law got laid off and a week later so did my son. UGH!!!!! In the midst of all this my lil brother and his wife decided to move 3 hours away from us. I'm VERY attached to him and his little girl. While I totally understand the reasoning, this about did me in. It was the straw that broke the camels back. I'm a mess. REALLY. I'm sure there is more I'm forgetting.

Anyway, I was the last person on that long list to take care of. And for much of it, I did not take care of myself. I need to get to a place that no matter what is happening in life, I should take care of ME, no matter how selfish it sounds. -sniff sniff

So today, I have made an attempt to go back to low carb. I'm doing this for myself. I feel like I have to. I feel so bad. I'm tired physically and mentally, I'm not sleeping well and I'm just exhausted. I'm sure some of this is depression. But I have to start stepping in the right direction or at least feel like I'm going the right way in taking care of me. SOOoooooo..
Husbands family still doesn't help much with taxing MIL back and forth and other errands.

God does not give us more than we can handle.

No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.

I've been feeling funny since yesterday. I'm having heart palpitations. I was low on potassium back in May when I had my hysterectomy. Maybe its low again. They also put me on an antibiotic Friday. So maybe that is it. Who knows. Its a lil later in the day and I feel better now. :)
I boiled up a dozen eggs, made 16 devilled egg halves (8 eggs)
I made Chicken Salad, put 4 of the eggs in Chicken salad
I made 12 Revolutionary Rolls for burger buns etc.

In the Freezer I have homemade Spaghetti sauce made up and frozen into Gallon size zip lock bags. It already contains the cooked meat, onions and peppers. Just have to add Bean sprout noodles, Spaghetti Squash noodles, Zoodles.
I also have several Hamburger patties frozen ready to pop in the skillet to cook up.

This coming week I plan to have
I didn't sleep hardly at all last night. I was up and down, dreaming, dreaming, dreaming.

My brother got me some Florida Tomatos off the vine last night. OH MY Goodness was they ever good. I had bacon and tomato sandwiches for dinner. So I didn't stay on plan. :/ I still have two left.

I've done pretty good today. I haven't ate lunch yet ( it's 2pm). My stomach has been upset all day. Probably because I"m not used to the vine ripe tomatoes ;)

Blogger had changed. I can't find the spell check. Lord knows I can't live without it. :)

I have been keeping track in a book.
Struggling right now to get it together.
I just can't seem to do it. I get up each morning, start out great, eat a good breakfast. I eat a good lunch but I'm starved by the time I get home and usually blow it. Night time has always been a down fall for me. So I guess nothing new. :/
I knew I was going to be in a busy clinic this morning. So I added a lil to my breakfast. I'm not sure when I will get to go to lunch so I hope this holds me over. ---Update, it did hold me over. I actually got out a lil early for lunch. O'well at least I was prepared.

Didn't feel as hungry today. I got a lil snacky toward the evening. But I only got 3 hrs sleep last night so I'm sure it was due to that. NewVisionhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17356754501467188071noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3576566711877316702.post-1610854775527389762012-11-29T06:58:00.003-06:002012-11-29T12:10:26.690-06:0011-28-2012 WednesdayB- 2 coffee with HC (200 cals/ 0 carbs)
Not my best carb/calorie day. :(
Still REALLY, really, really hungry today. I ate quit a bit. Wonder how many days it takes for the steroids I was taking for poison ivy to get out of my system. I'm thinking that is the cause for the hunger.

* I I don't consider buttermilk and yogurt TOO high in carbs. Please see this article --- Carbs in buttermilk and yogurt
It's me again. I'm back again to try and deal with these weight issues. I've been up and down, low carb, low calorie , on plan, off plan, you name it.
I have been doing a lot of soul searching lately and have come to the conclusion that low carb has always been best for me. I don't know why I have chosen for so long to listen to others instead of my own body. My joints, body and my mind feels sooooo much better when I'm low carbing. Lately I've had a lot of joint pain. It's so amazing what you can do when you're motivated by pain.
This year on June 15 I totally quit drinking diet soda pop....cold turkey. I was having kidney issues ( bleeding and lots of pain in my back) long story short, I'm fine now but it taught me if I can quit my soda pop then I can do ANYTHING! So after lots of joint pain I decided a few weeks ago that I need to go back to low carb too.
I got a new smart phone, (YAY!!) So it will be a lot easier to blog my menus. So starting tomorrow, I am back baby!!! See you all then

PS......Looks like I have a lot of work to do on my links. Lots of them not working. I will try to get to it ASAP. :)
